Sep 5, 2026Electrical systemWhile driving, the vehicle displayed three simultaneous warnings — “Drive system malfunction, safely stop vehicle,” “Electrical system malfunction, restart not possible, contact service,” and “All-wheel drive malfunction, limited stability” — and lost propulsion completely. This occurred on at least two separate occasions while driving. After each event, the vehicle would not restart for approximately 15 minutes, after which it began working again temporarily. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Audi dealer, which found no coolant in the front drive motor and diagnosed a fault in the SX6 hi…
Sep 2, 2026Electrical system, Service brakesThe vehicle is experiencing an intermittent but active 'Electrical system: malfunction!' safety alert on the dashboard and myAudi app, caused by an internal high-voltage battery cell circuit fault (Diagnostic Trouble Code P0DB400 / U04A300) and a failure in the battery thermal runaway detection system. When the fault occurs, the vehicle suffers a complete loss of regenerative braking, severely affecting stopping predictability and vehicle handling. An authorized Audi dealership (Audi West Chester) confirmed the internal module failure under TAC Case NF-1675032 and directed a full battery mod…
Jul 11, 2026Power train, Electrical system, Fuel/propulsion systemThe integrated high-voltage powertrain / single-speed transmission unit is failing, causing severe mechanical chattering, rapid actuator cycling, and vibration under the vehicle. This failure follows a recent catastrophic, unexplained total loss of traction/HVAC coolant while at a previous Audi dealership. Audi is aware of systemic coolant migration issues into the electric drive motors on 2022 e-tron models under Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) #2073858, where coolant breaches internal seals and compromises the gearbox oil, causing mechanical failure. The current dealership has taken a flui…
Jun 16, 2026Vehicle speed control, Service brakesComponent/System: Service Brakes, Hydraulic / Brake Pedal Assembly / Steering Linkage Description of Defect: A progressive mechanical noise and physical sensation occurs during driving transitions involving the brake, accelerator, and steering column. After the brake pedal is fully released and the accelerator is pressed, or when the steering wheel is turned, a distinct loud "thunk" and a sliding/dragging sound emanate from the brake pedal assembly area. When the accelerator is released, a secondary "click" sound is heard and felt through the controls. This condition did not exist when the ve…
Jun 8, 2026Unknown or otherRunning 4430 MMI/MIB3 software (that was release almost 2 years ago) and now have stereo EQ settings that reset on their own, personalized favorites that delete on their own, and other personalization settings that reset on their own. Happens every 6-24 hours if settings are adjusted. Audi knows about it, refuses to allow dealers to update to newer software that will fix these since there are updated available that solves.
May 6, 2026Unknown or otherFrom time to time the driver's door does not latch completely so the door is only partially closing. Dealer was able to duplicate the problem but will not replace (estimated cost for new door latch is just under $800.) at their expense. It appears that others have had the same problem. When driving the car air rushes into the vehicle as the door is not fully shut. I worry that this problem could be very serious should I be in an accident with a partially closed door rather than a fully closed door. The problem first appeared early in the winter and seems to be getting worse.
May 4, 2026Service brakesBrakes were replaced by Audi with genuine Audi parts and within 2 months, the brake rotors became warped, requiring a resurfacing. After driving another 2 months, they once again became warped, making the entire car lurch and shake during braking.
Apr 30, 2026Electrical system, Structure, Fuel/propulsion systemA vehicle was taken to a collision repair facility following minor front-end damage. At intake, the repair facility documented visible exterior damage but did not perform or document an underbody inspection, which is necessary to assess high-voltage battery integrity in electric vehicles. After the vehicle entered teardown, the repair facility later claimed that the high-voltage battery was damaged and recommended that the vehicle be declared a total loss. This determination was made without documented evidence of required OEM diagnostic procedures and without initial intake documentation sup…
