Seats

Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Gravity vehicles. The lap belt anchor brackets on the second row seats may have insufficient welds, which can cause bracket failure. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 207, “Seating Systems” and 210, “Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages.”

Risk: Seat bracket failure can increase the risk of injury during a crash.

Fix: Lucid will inspect and repair the seats or replace the seats as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 18, 2026. Owners may contact Lucid at 1-888-995-8243. Lucid's number for this recall is SR-26-04-00.

Back over prevention › Software

Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Gravity vehicles operating a software version prior to 3.3.20. The rearview camera image may not display when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Risk: A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Fix: Lucid has released an over-the-air (OTA) software update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 4, 2026. Owners may contact Lucid at 1-888-995-8243. Lucid's number for this recall is SR-26-02-0.

Seats

Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2026 Gravity vehicles. Incorrect backrest covers may have been installed on the front seats, preventing the side air bags from deploying correctly.

Risk: An air bag that does not deploy as intended increases the risk of injury during a crash.

Fix: Lucid will inspect and replace the seat backrest covers as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 21, 2026. Owners may contact Lucid Customer Care at 1-888-99-LUCID or 1-888-995-8243. Lucid's number for this recall is SR-25-05-0.

The problems with this vehicle placed my wife and me in several life-threatening situations for an extended period. The most serious event happened on [XXX] during Labor Day weekend traffic. The vehicle suddenly and severely lost propulsion at highway speed, and [XXX] has not identified or documented the cause of that failure. Because the cause remains unknown, I have no reasonable basis to believe the vehicle is safe to drive or that the same event will not happen again. Four serious dangers during the [XXX] incident 1. Sudden loss of speed in highway traffic. While traveling in traffic movin…

On XXX while driving approximately 170 miles along the [XXX] corridor from [XXX] to [XXX], the vehicle’s Hands-Free driver assistance system (Highway Assist / DreamDrive) suffered three critical, unprovoked disengagements, creating severe near-miss rear-end hazards. Prior to the trip, I had intentionally disabled the automatic lane change feature due to known unreliability, relying only on Hands-Free lane centering and speed control while performing manual lane changes myself. Despite this, the system failed catastrophically three times: Incident 1 (Heavy Rain): Driving in torrential rain wh…

I had three children in the vehicle getting out. Two in the second row and one in the third row. I walked away from the car with the key in my pocket and my two children in the second row closed the door on the child in the third row before she got out. Because my key was in my pocket and i was far away from the vehicle, the car locked when the doors shut. My child in the third row climbed into the second row and attempted to open the door--she could not open any of the rear doors. The child locks were not activated, and there is no way to open the rear doors when the car is locked. I tr…

I am exiting the freeway, and the far two right lanes both exit. I’m in the inner exiting lane, and I signal to take the exit. There’s a car to my right, exiting at the same time. As I’m taking the exit, my Gravity Grand Touring seemingly thinks I’m going to turn into the other car exiting near me and engages the collision intervention, whereby it forcibly steers me into the gore point until I wrestle the steering wheel back into the correct lane. I’ve also noticed that the car sends an audible collision prevention alerts when I make a turn (with a turn signal on) when a car is turning next t…

Aug 4, 2026Seats

Second row seat back will not lock into place rendering the seat useless because the seat back folds onto the seat bottom. The second row seat also slides backward and will not stop crushing my daughters foot while attempting to get into the 3rd row.

Aug 2, 2026Steering, Suspension, Lane departure

I have driven about 7 Lucid Gravity's. They have 0 straight line tracking. The car constantly veers towards the right without active pressure and correction by the driver. This has resulted in several dangerous instances when using hands free driving. Hands free driving randomly gets disabled and the car will start veering towards the right - giving me less than 2 seconds to react. I've been in several close calls driving at 65 mph on the highway. Lucid has verbally acknowledged multiple times that the car's cannot drive straight but have not given me any action plan on what they will do.

Jun 3, 2026Power train, Unknown or other, Service brakes

Yesterday, while driving home on a surface street, I experienced a sudden loss of drive power, multiple dashboard warning lights, and violent shaking throughout the vehicle, creating a significant safety hazard for both me and surrounding motorists. It is fortunate that this did not occur at highway speeds. The shaking was so intense that the head-up display on the windshield was visibly vibrating, and when I arrived home ( driving the one mile at less than 35 mph as indicated on the dash), I discovered that one of the rear seats had folded itself down. The other likely remained upright only…

On February 6, 2026, my wife was operating our 2026 Lucid Gravity when she shifted into reverse. The rearview/backup camera failed to activate on the center display. Simultaneously, the electronic gear selector became unresponsive and would not change gears. The combined failure resulted in a near-collision; no impact or injuries occurred. Both affected systems remain in the vehicle and are available for inspection upon request. The rearview camera is federally required equipment under FMVSS No. 111. Its failure to display when reverse was selected, combined with an unresponsive gear selector,…
